If you follow me via pretty much any social media platform, you will be aware that I’ve recently discovered an adorable, cosy little cafe named ‘Chia’. It is nestled within the town centre of Hitchin, and if you weren’t looking for it, you’d probably miss it.
I don’t quite know where to start with the features of this place. Probably the most prominent is the fact that its 100% vegan, cruelty-free, organic. Just all round good for you and the planet. It’s basically Pinterest heaven. The variety of food is out of this world, especially the drinks. I couldn’t fathom the range of smoothies and juices they provide before I actually visited – whatever you’re craving, you’ll find it. In the mood for a fruity burst of flavours and a shot of energy? After something a bit more protein packed, or a little pick me up during a gloomy morning? They’ve got you covered. Each juice or smoothie has it’s own unique benefits, some to boost your metabolism, your immune system, some to replenish your muscles after a hardcore gym sesh, some to power your brain for a study day.
Now the food. I could write blog post after blog post about the array of mouth watering dishes that Chia offers. I have inserted a link to their menu here, in case you fancied taking a peak at the beautiful choices. My own favourites include the smoothie bowls, which are overflowing with colour and aesthetic, the pancakes, which are totally sugar free may I add, and the porridge. I also highly encourage you to try the ‘Fitness Freak’ smoothie, it is truly out if this world.
The thing I love most about this place, besides the lovely and friendly staff, is the cosy interior, the snug dining area upstairs and the most tumblr decor. The place is just perfect for Instagram photos, everything is so aesthetic, from the mugs to the food.
The Cafe Edit Ratings:

- Child/ Dog friendly? Dog friendly, but not upstairs.
- Variety: 4/5
- Vegan/ GF/ allergies catered for? I don’t think this even needs answering in this case, but yes!
